Immigration Minister to Hold Immigration Consultation

Immigration ConsultationCitizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney will be holding an information and immigration consultation session in Toronto on Wednesday, July 20th.

Another information session will be held in Montreal on July 22nd, to be followed by online consultations throughout the summer that are open to the public.

According to a press release from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the purpose of the immigration consultations is to “seek feedback on immigration levels, including the appropriate level of immigration for Canada, and the most suitable mix between economic, family class and protected persons. Discussions on system management to provide improved services, such as reasonable processing times, and addressing issues such as fraud, will also be included.”

The government is looking for input from immigration stakeholders and later on, the public, to learn how to improve its services.
