A man from San Francisco who has travelled to Canada several times without incident was denied entry to Canada this month after he went through seven hours of being detained and questioned at the Vancouver border.

In doing something done on every high school-themed television show at least once – stealing the rival team’s mascot during prank week – the man was convicted of burglary.

According to this CBC article, many people who have come to Canada many times before are just now experiencing problems with being denied entry to Canada that seem to have started this year. with long-ago convictions coming back to haunt them.
