Downloading online how-to immigration forms? A Short cut to real immigration Help.

I am all for education. After all, our blog is full of helpful free information for the public. Educating our clients and people in general about Canadian and US Immigration is a passion of mine.

But should you Download online immigration applications?

In the age of the interent there is a LOT of immigration information out there–some good, some bad, and some ugly! The public is really at the mercy of information overload and sadly there are many who seek to take advantage of the  desire for a “quick fix” when it comes to immigration and visas.

If you have searched the net for immigration services, you will have invariably come across websites that offer “free downloads” or cheap  How to Guides, visa kits for visas, permanent resident cards, US visas etc. Well, as the saying goes “if it is too good to be true, it probably is”

Buyer Beware: Immigration Kits are not all that

Now I am not suggesting that you, by downloading one of these visa kits, will necessarily be sorry.  Rather I am saying that you will likely be sorry. The reality is that there is no quick fix or short cuts to  immigration and visa processing. When and if that comes, I will be the first to broadcast this!

You can download to your heart’s content but unless you get proper legal advise to supplement these how-to guides, you could find yourself with a visa refusal at the end of the road.

The point I am trying to make is that immigration law is complex despite what is claimed by these consultants. An immigration kit is just not going to protect your interests period. Instead it will likely give you a false sense of security leaving you with the impression that, like a software upgrade, you just download the kit and a visa will magically appear.

We have seen many disappointed individuals who, in good faith, have downloaded these visa kits only to be shocked that the information is just fancy packaging of the free information out there already and worse, that they relied on these downloads to actually help them get visas.

So buyer beware!
