Under PNP, an immigration and visa process of an  intending immigrant worker is being expedited in view of the government’s nomination in the applicant’s favor. Under the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), you may be nominated if you qualify under one of seven streams:

  1. Skilled Worker

■      Score at least 50 points on the PEI PNP Self-Assessment form;

■      A PEI job offer for a skilled position;

■      Education and training consistent with the position offered;

■      A command of the English and French language; and

■      Demonstrate intention to settle in PEI.

  1. Critical Worker

■      A PEI job offer in skill level C or D as a truck driver, customer service representative, labourer, food & beverage server, or housekeeping attendant;

■      At least 6 months of work experience for a PEI employer;

■      Be less than 55 years of age;

■      Have a minimum 12 years of education;

■      Completed at least two years of full-time work experience w/in the past five years; and

■      Be capable of being interviewed in English or French.

  1. International Graduate

■      Graduated w/in the past two years from full-time study at a recognized Canadian University or College;

■      Have a PEI job offer in skill type 0, A or B;

■      Have a minimum of 6 months work experience for a PEI employer;

■      a command of the English and French language; and

■      intention to settle in PEI.

  1. Family Connections

■      Have the intention to live in PEI;

■      Prove that they are an eligible family member of the Champion’s;

■      Have an offer of employment or a capacity to work in PEI; and

■      Be in good health with no criminal record.

  1. 100% Ownership

■      have a personal net worth of at least $ 400,000.00 CDN;

■      deposit $100,000 CDN;

■      make an investment of at least $150,000;

■      control 100% of the business and provide active and ongoing management of the business from w/in PEI;

■      have a settlement proposal; and

■      submit a business plan.

  1. Partial Ownership

■      Have a personal net worth of at least $400,000 CDN;

■      Deposit $100,000 CDN;

■      Make a minimum investment of $150,000 CDN in a PEI business;

■      Control more than 33.3% of the equity in the business or make an equity investment in the business of at least $1,000,000 CDN;

■      Provide active and on-going management of the business in PEI;

■      Have a settlement proposal; and

■      Submit a business plan.

  1. Work Permit

■      Be eligible and willing to apply for a work permit for the PEI business;

■      Have a personal net worth of at least $400,000 CDN;

■      Make an investment of at least $150,000 CDN in a PEI business;

■      Control more than 33.3$ of the equity in the business or make an investment of at least $1,000,000 CDN;

■      Provide active and on-going management of the business in PEI;

■      Have a settlement proposal; and

■      Submit a business plan.
