Additional information about this Canadian Embassy in Guatemala:
The Canadian Embassy in Guatemala is also responsible for handling visa and immigration processes from surrounding countries including Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.

Many countries look to Canada’s temporary work permit program as a model immigration program, and Guatemala is no different. In fact, only a few years ago 300 people came to Canada from Guatemala every year on temporary work permits, and now that number has reached 3,000 annually. Between 200 and 300 people immigrate to Canada from Guatemala every single year to become permanent residents.

Should You Contact a Lawyer First…?

It is important to remember that when applying for Canadian Immigration, you are required to submit your application to the Canadian Embassy of your nationality. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. You should always contact an immigration lawyer to assist you with the procedures associated with the Canadian Embassy of your region because the Canadian Embassy in Guatemala may have its own set of special rules and procedures.
