Safety

Even the downtown areas of the biggest cities in Canada (such as Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa) are safe places to be late at night. As recently as 2007, Ontario and Quebec had the lowest violent crime rates in Canada per 100,000 people, with fewer than 800. The crime rate in Canada has also been in a steady decline since the early 1990s, with Ontario and Quebec leading the decrease. Canada saw only 594 murders in 2006, while the United States had over 17,000.

Multiculturalism

Canada is one of the most multicultural and diverse countries in the entire world. No matter where you’re from, it’s likely that you’ll be able to find a cultural centre that makes you feel like a piece of home is with you no matter where you travel. In Toronto alone, there’s Little Moscow, Greektown, China Town, Koreatown, Little Italy, Malta Village, Little Portugal, Corso Italia and Little India. Canadians are also free to practice whatever religion they choose and the freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression are law through the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The Canadian government has a number of special programs to help newcomers to Canada establish themselves, and anyone in Canada can start their own business and make whatever kind of life for themselves they desire.

Natural Resources

Canada is easily one of the most beautiful countries in the world. In one landmass, you can find desert, rainforest, the Rocky Mountains, beaches and more lakes than any other country.

Stable Economy

Canada was one of the G-8 countries that  weathered the recession, Our stable banking system, combined with our resource based economy, kept the unemployment lines at bay.
