Four Reasons to Immigrate to Toronto

Nature in Toronto

Even if you live in the huge city of Toronto, beautiful cottage country and great fishing are only a couple of hours away. Visit the Niagara Region, the Muskokas or the Kawartha Lakes for a quick and inexpensive getaway. Ontario is home to about 250,000 freshwater lakes and a number of isolated areas that will make you think you travelled to another place altogether. Even within the city, there are a ton of parks and nature areas appropriate for any outdoor lover.

Multiculturalism in Toronto

Toronto is easily one of the most multicultural places in the entire world, with almost half of the population being foreign-born. Toronto is full of neighbourhoods with their own cultural background and it is likely that almost anyone will be able to find a community similar to their own cultural roots. Toronto also has a number of festivals each and every year dedicated to celebrating our diverse cultures.

Best Cities To Live in the World

In 2007, Toronto ranked number 15th out of 215 global cities for quality of life in a report by Mercer Human Resource Consulting – one of the best in Canada, beating Ottawa, Montreal and Calgary and every city in the United States. Almost 40 different factors were considered when determining its ranking, including safety, economy, social factors and environmental factors.

Everything Else in Toronto

A lot of jokes are centered around Toronto being the “centre of the universe”, but it truly seems as though the universe is centered around Toronto sometimes. If a celebrity chef is opening up a new restaurant in Canada, it’ll be in Toronto. If your favourite musician is only making one Canadian stop on their latest tour, it’ll be in Toronto. A lot of huge annual events are also centered in the city, including the Toronto International Film Festival, the Toronto International Auto Show and the Toronto International Boat Show. It’s also home to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, making taking in a sports game a great idea for a night out with family or friends.
