According to the Edmonton Journal, almost 80,000 people moved to Edmonton in 2011. That is a very large number . Edmonton, a western city in Canada, is where the jobs and growth are. In the past, Ontario was the economic hub of Canada. It still is but that is changing. Western cities like Calgary and Edmonton are attracting businesses and skilled labor due to more favourable tax rates, diverse cultures and of course, oil related employment opportunities.
